Can I earn any certifications with Lenspiration training?
Lenspiration is a self-guided online photography platform, not an accredited photography school offering degrees and certifications. However, completion of Lenspiration's Photography Program will provide you with a physical record of your work that may be useful in pursuing recognized certification or higher education.
Is the membership for only one person, or can more than one person in the same household use it at the same price?
Subscription is for the whole family! There will be some things you'll have to reset for the next person (like course quizzes), but no need to pay for multiple subscriptions for multiple family members.
Is there a way to access the photography forums for free?
Yes. First, you must join the membership.
Because the membership has a free trial, there is no cost for joining. When you join, an account will be created with Lenspiration. This account is what allows you to participate on the forums.
If you cancel your membership, you will lose access to all membership features, but since you will still have an account with Lenspiration, you will still be able to participate on the forums.
Regardless of how long your membership lasts, you will have access to the forums through your account even after canceling your membership. Therefore, if you want to participate in the forums for free, join the membership and then cancel your membership before the free trial expires.
Can I count my Lenspiration training as a business expense?
Yes!
What is your refund policy?
How will you bill me?
When you start your free trial, you provide the billing information that you want to be charged when the free trial expires. Both credit card and PayPal options are available.
What happens at the end of my free trial?
After your free trial, you will automatically be charged for the subscription interval that you chose when you joined, unless you cancel. For example, if you started your free trial today and chose to be billed Annually, then your annual subscription would begin as soon as the trial ended, and renew the following year on that day.
How can I cancel my membership during the free trial?
You can cancel your membership at any time under My Account when you are logged in.
If any discounts are applied to your membership, canceling your membership will end all discounts.
If you think you might want to rejoin later, you might want to use the option to put your membership "on hold" instead of completely canceling it. This will pause your membership, but allow you to rejoin with the same discounts that may have been applied to your membership before. You are limited to the number of times you are allowed to put your membership on hold.
Why do I need to add a credit card number for a free trial?
Providing your credit card number to access a free trial
- Allows you to receive full access to every aspect of the membership during the trial period
- Discourages spammers from gaining access to community-based features such as the forums
- Streamlines the billing process once the trial period is over.
You will always receive email notifications when you are billed.
If we buy a monthly membership, can we eventually switch it to an annual membership?
Yes. It is easy to switch your membership in your account settings.
What happens if I need to change my debit/credit card number during my membership?
This can be easily done under My Account.
Can I put my account on "hold" if I can't use it?
Yes, you can pause your membership if needed by setting your subscription to "On Hold" under My Account.
You can only pause your membership twice per billing period. For example, if you have chosen to be billed Annually, you can only pause and rejoin the membership twice within the next 12 months. It is better to pause your membership than to cancel it if you think you may want to rejoin because all discounts that are applied to your membership will still be applied when you rejoin. All discounts will end when you cancel.
Can I change or cancel my plan later on?
Yes. You can cancel, pause, or change the billing interval of your membership at any time under My Account.

2026 marks the beginning of my foray into art exhibiting! Started off with displaying some calendars at the annual @salemwvofficial Salem Community Arts Showcase on Saturday. Next will be the Salem Apple Butter Festival in October. Special thanks to the Cultural Foundation of Harrison County for making both events possible! My goal is to use the exhibits to create a wholesome, educational experience for art-lovers to expand their knowledge in photography, geography, and the ethics essential to success in any professional field.

I learned what "flash flood" means, the other day. No problem driving into downtown Indianapolis when the rain started. But it rained so hard and so long, our efforts to leave were thwarted over and over again as we backed out of street after street trying to find a way back to the Interstate. Never seen so much water on the road before. Thankfully we were able to get to an entrance ramp that was on higher ground....and begin our long journey home through more storms, tornado warnings, and flooded construction sites. So grateful that God "rulest the raging sea: when the waves thereof arise, Thou stillest them"! (Psalm 89:9)

We almost left the overlook, when something happened.... We were on our way home from Connecticut, stopping in Virginia to meet up with @samuelchingphotography to photograph sunset at @greatfallsparkvanps. I chose the Maryland side of the river because the overlook faced west toward the sunset. However, we ran into two problems. First, the boardwalk offered no opportunity to descend down to the waters edge (offering instead severe penalties for leaving it). And second, it was not a pretty sunset. After spotting the landscape for a while, why stick around? Part of our group headed back to the car and I began packing up. And that`s when, out of nowhere, these long, pink, apparently altocumulus radiatus clouds appeared in the western sky in the perfect spot for landscape compositions! I can`t believe we almost missed it. I learned I need to be patient, even after the moment of sunset.

On my way back from that morning hike at the top of South Mountain, the main thought in my head was to get back to the car so I could get home. Then I started thinking about why I wanted to get home. Well, one of the reasons was because I wanted to be back with Julianna and finally tell her good morning (because I had left so early that she was still asleep). That made me start thinking about how much she likes wildflowers and I thought "Hey, I should take some pictures of flowers to show her when I get back..." And that`s when I started noticing all the flowers by the side of the trail! --- Moral of the story: sometimes you don`t see things till you start looking for them. 😃 "Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see." I can`t believe I found a spot like this in Connecticut! I`ve know a great photo spot like this existed, but couldn`t figure out how to get there without a super long, exhausting hike. Finally figured it out thanks in part to @alltrails. I can DM hiking directions if interested. It`s still probably a 2mi hike.

I`ve had my eye on this location for years...and today I finally made the early morning hike out for golden hour. With the smoke coming down from Canada, would I get my chance for the photo I`ve been waiting for?!
A quick sunrise shoot with amazing potential. Right place at the right time. Would the sun show up and make it a perfect morning?!

And here`s the real photo! Just tweaked a bit in LR. No special glowing effect added. No fake sunrays. No sky or foreground masking. Just purely picking up what I saw and experienced, because it was such a perfect sunrise (with help from the smoke from Canada).
