Questions about joining the Lenspiration Membership?
Learn How it Works!
Can I earn any certifications with Lenspiration training?
Lenspiration is a self-guided online photography platform, not an accredited photography school offering degrees and certifications. However, completion of Lenspiration's Photography Program will provide you with a physical record of your work that may be useful in pursuing recognized certification or higher education.
Is the membership for only one person, or can more than one person in the same household use it at the same price?
Subscription is for the whole family! There will be some things you'll have to reset for the next person (like course quizzes), but no need to pay for multiple subscriptions for multiple family members.
Is there a way to access the photography forums for free?
Yes. First, you must join the membership.
Because the membership has a free trial, there is no cost for joining. When you join, an account will be created with Lenspiration. This account is what allows you to participate on the forums.
If you cancel your membership, you will lose access to all membership features, but since you will still have an account with Lenspiration, you will still be able to participate on the forums.
Regardless of how long your membership lasts, you will have access to the forums through your account even after canceling your membership. Therefore, if you want to participate in the forums for free, join the membership and then cancel your membership before the free trial expires.
Can I count my Lenspiration training as a business expense?
Yes!
What is your refund policy?
How will you bill me?
When you start your free trial, you provide the billing information that you want to be charged when the free trial expires. Both credit card and PayPal options are available.
What happens at the end of my free trial?
After your free trial, you will automatically be charged for the subscription interval that you chose when you joined, unless you cancel. For example, if you started your free trial today and chose to be billed Annually, then your annual subscription would begin as soon as the trial ended, and renew the following year on that day.
How can I cancel my membership during the free trial?
You can cancel your membership at any time under My Account when you are logged in.
If any discounts are applied to your membership, canceling your membership will end all discounts.
If you think you might want to rejoin later, you might want to use the option to put your membership "on hold" instead of completely canceling it. This will pause your membership, but allow you to rejoin with the same discounts that may have been applied to your membership before. You are limited to the number of times you are allowed to put your membership on hold.
Why do I need to add a credit card number for a free trial?
Providing your credit card number to access a free trial
- Allows you to receive full access to every aspect of the membership during the trial period
- Discourages spammers from gaining access to community-based features such as the forums
- Streamlines the billing process once the trial period is over.
You will always receive email notifications when you are billed.
If we buy a monthly membership, can we eventually switch it to an annual membership?
Yes. It is easy to switch your membership in your account settings.
What happens if I need to change my debit/credit card number during my membership?
This can be easily done under My Account.
Can I put my account on "hold" if I can't use it?
Yes, you can pause your membership if needed by setting your subscription to "On Hold" under My Account.
You can only pause your membership twice per billing period. For example, if you have chosen to be billed Annually, you can only pause and rejoin the membership twice within the next 12 months. It is better to pause your membership than to cancel it if you think you may want to rejoin because all discounts that are applied to your membership will still be applied when you rejoin. All discounts will end when you cancel.
Can I change or cancel my plan later on?
Yes. You can cancel, pause, or change the billing interval of your membership at any time under My Account.

3. A mini vacation without leaving town
4. Expands knowledge of places you didn`t know existed
5. A worshipful mood for magnifying the Creator, Jesus Christ!
6. Generates conversation about far off places and interesting subjects
7. Broadens appreciation for detail, color combinations, and photographic composition
8. Helps discover or refine your own tastes

I`ve been preparing for the Apple Butter Festival Art Show in October and needed a shot that said "Wisconsin". I had some generic scenic photos from across the state, and no photos of cheese. But when I started playing around with this round barn image that I originally intended to be documentary, it really started to grow on me. I took it in the middle of the day, on the way home from attending church, almost as an after thought. It was even in late October, after the leaves had fallen, a bad time of year for color. But the light, composition, and dramatic clouds all worked together to pull it out of the forgotten archives and into my gallery portfolio! And if you didn`t already know, Wisconsin has the most round barns of any state in the US, and speaks heavily of the rich dairy heritage of the area.

I`ve been printing calendars since 2009, and there`s something very interesting that I`ve discovered.
I always included a verse of Scripture and the lyrics of a nice hymn on each month. “What a great way to share God’s Word and connect with my neighbors in a meaningful way!” I thought.
Some neighbors took them courteously with a smile. Some neighbors opened right up and we would talk for half an hour or more! “You mean, you took these photos?” they would ask in surprise.
The reason friends and neighbors connect so well is because it’s not just a regular calendar. It’s an “I-know-the-photographer” calendar. It gives neighbors a glimpse of who I am, what I do, and what I’m like.
📷 And you can do the same, with your friends and family, or in your community, with Artist’s Calendars! 📷 View details at link in bio!
As photographers and artists who are Christians, every time we share our work, we offer a small, concentrated glimpse of God’s glory as it has been revealed to us. And in sharing it, we invite others to pause, to wonder, and to recognize the fingerprints of the Creator woven into the ordinary and the extraordinary alike.
Wow. What an opportunity for us photographers to use our skill, our talents, our art—for the glory of God!
Whether it’s through a calendar, or if you share your photos in another way, be encouraged to let your photography act as an avenue of God’s beauty and the reality of Christ in you to the world around you.

God provided an amazing spot to do couple photos for a wedding in Indiana over the weekend! Every spot I had on my list to scout ahead of time fell through...but God stepped in. Will plan to give the whole story in a blog post some time. It was such a pretty stop I decided to relax by doing a bit of landscape photography there after the couple shoot was over. 😊

As I’ve been reading through Isaiah this year, the essence of Isaiah 57:15 is what motivated the theme for the 2027 calendar, “Jesus, I Come”! God says, “. . . I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”
That word “contrite” literally means “crushed,” and it’s only used 3 times in the Bible. We recognize it in David’s beautiful Psalm 34 . . . “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)
The third time it’s used is also in a Psalm, but the KJV uses a stronger word full of such rich meaning! “Thou [God] turnest man to destruction [contrite]; and sayest, ‘Return, ye children of men.’” (Psalm 90:3)
Return. Repent! The message of Jesus’ early earthly ministry. God resists the proud. But, He gives grace to the humble. Do I humble myself, pray, seek His face, and turn from my wicked ways? Repentance and humility are the seeds of revival. And that’s what the hymns and verses in this calendar are all about! A call to humility and repentance before the Lord every day so that He can revive our spirit, our homes, our communities, and our country in the way that brings the most glory to Him.
Jesus, I come.

Found time to edit some photos from our summer trip in Connecticut! I was actually able to think through a nice composition on this particular evening. The family was enjoying each other on the sandy beach while I scrambled around on the rocks on the other side of the jutty at Meigs Point in Hammonasset Beach State Park. I went slowly. Looking for what might work before setting up. I landed on this spot because it was in the direction of the faint sunset color, there was interesting plant life textures on the rocks, the arrangement of rocks formed a sort of frame....and there was just an unexplainable sense of attraction to the scene.
