Hope you like it.
I have the opportunity to photograph a family I know. Do you have any advice for poses (they have two little girls) and how to make them feel comfortable?
Also, how should I communicate with them to help them feel relaxed. (I have trouble talking with people and saying what I want them to do.
Ben, I used a technique called painting with light. The two people in the picture is my sister I had her kneel then flashed a light on her, turned the light off had her stand up and flashed the light on her again. The shutter was open for 58 seconds.
Here are JPEG versions of the photos I submitted to the DFR link
I took the photos at 10:00 at night with my younger sister’s help, I used a flashlight for the cross and for the lighting.
I tried to picture verse 8 “That while we were yet sinners Christ died for us” with the cross the person kneeling then the person standing it sort of showed that…[Read more]
Do you all have any tips and/or tricks for photographing rainbows?
Every time I try it they always come out “bland” (no color) or they’re out of focus. I will welcome any advice you guys have.
Here is one of mine.
This picture seems kind of “busy” to me, I’m not sure what you are highlighting. You could probably get three photos out of this one,(the geese, the barn, maybe the pond?). You could crop into the barn and then lighten it?
Sorry this is not technical just some ideas
I took this photo a few days ago and would like some “Critiquing”. All I did on the computer was cropping. I had picked the flower then held it up to the sky then snapped the photo.
camera: EOS Rebel T5.
Shutter speed, 1/200.
On camera flash.
I have no idea what kind of flower it is. Thank you for advice. I will definitely play around with the aperture and focus. When I took this picture the camera was on the Program mode and I was using auto focus.
I don’t think you “over manipulated” your photos. Personally I think that when editing pictures it should always be in a way that enhances (contrast, sharpening, cropping) because sometimes the camera just can’t get the beauty of let’s say flowers.
I totally get that manipulating is very fun but I try to stick to how GOD made it.
Hope this is helpful.
Please tell me what you think of this photo. I took it early this year but just found your website.
I used the on camera flash but other than that I didn’t do anything fancy. All I did for editing was cropping.
This is the first time I have used this website:)
