Try pushing your shadows to bring out some of the detail in the black hole at the bridge opening and reducing overall saturation.
Camera settings?Hey team; how do you get your profile photo to show up??
January 28, 2015 at 5:37 am #9540Dan CopeParticipantThanks @timtam. Camera was set at ISO 200, f/20, and shutter speed of 1/100. Lens was at 18mm.
To add a photo to your profile, you need to set up a Globally Recognized Avatar (gravatar). You can do that at https://en.gravatar.com/

I’m so glad you got out to the covered bridge under a good snow!
I don’t know if this makes any sense, but it feels like “a picture of a bridge” and not really like a “landscape”. I wonder if there was any way to incorporate the surroundings a little more. I’ve been to this bridge and know the surroundings (especially in the winter) are not much to look at, but I wonder what it would have looked like to include the main road on the right . . .
Also, I would suggest adding a hint of vignette. Not a noticeable one; just enough to direct the eye in a bit. See attachments to see if you notice the difference (but only notice because you see the non-vignetted one beside it). I used -12 for Post-Crop Vignetting under Effects in LR.

Here I have “un-cropped” it and edited out some of those branches in the sky. Also, I added the vignette as you suggested and darkened the overall sky just a bit. Does it seem that the bridge is positioned to high in the photo? I wanted to include as much snow in the foreground as possible.
