150 Opportunities that will Test Your Creativity

by | May 23, 2015 | Updates & Opportunities | 2 comments

On Thursday, night, I received an incredible request. IBLP was updating their PowerPoint presentation that displays the hymns projected for congregational singing during their Regional Family Conferences. They currently use a textured, blue background behind white text, but now . . . they want to do a complete makeover and add scenic images to the background of each song. All 150 of them!

This would be overwhelming for an individual photographer. But it won’t be for a community of photographers!

On the Shoot to Serve forum, I have just added 150 new topics, each one an opportunity for Lenspiration Community members to reply with pictures that they think would represent the song well. Landscape, nature and scenic images are what we think will work best, but pictures of people, animals, architecture or human involvement that help depict or portray the song are certainly welcome as well. I really can’t wait to see what ideas everyone comes up with!

Shoot to Serve

The Shoot to Serve forum started when I launched the Lenspiration Community a few weeks ago. It’s purpose is to provide opportunities for photographers to practice photography with a purpose, learning to fulfill assignments for others by photographing the needs of ministries and organizations. It’s a feature for PRO members to help them start shooting professionally and build connections. If the 10-day free trial to the PRO Membership isn’t long enough to make your submissions, then the 50% discount on your subscription forever can still be taken advantage of. Just use the coupon code $9n.may at checkout. Coupon expires on May 31, 2015

The pending deadline for receiving submissions for the 150 PowerPoint opportunities is midnight, June 21, 2015.

Looking forward to seeing your submissions!

As a side note, I should mention that the next morning, Friday morning, we read this verse in our family devotions: “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean [insignificant] men.” (Proverbs 22:29) As we work together to help meet the needs of this ministry, I hope that each and every one of us will have as our motivation the heart to serve and work diligently as unto the Lord, serving the Lord Christ!

    That’s right, Lindsey!

I don’t know when I’ll have the time to browse through my own collection of pictures, so if anyone doesn’t have pictures to submit, they can feel free to browse through the Lenspiration Portfolio to find pictures that would match! 🙂 http://www.lenspiration.photos
