Learning Photography at HEAV

There were plenty of things to take pictures of at the HEAV (Home Educators Association of Virginia) Convention this last weekend! But with a team of 10 photographers we had it covered! At 12,500 in attendance, it was the largest convention or conference I had been to yet.

The theme the photographers were commissioned to capture was “There’s something for everyone”. For all three days, we were on the lookout for kids doing fun stuff at the exhibits, parents interacting with their children, and teens participating in activities and the graduation ceremony. Capturing great expressions and keeping shots tack sharp were the toughest challenges, but that what we were there to learn and practice!
